Martin Grudaj - cello & Elena Malinova - piano, spelen samen sinds 1995. Zij hebben samen gestudeerd, eerst in Groningen en daarna in Den Haag en zij kregen altijd lovende reacties van verschillende docenten over hun duo-spel. Tijdens hun studie zijn zij al begonnen met het geven van concerten, eerst in Groningen en in de omgeving en nu spelen zij overal in Nederland, maar ook in Duitsland en Frankrijk. Martin en Elena maakten hun debuut in 2006 in het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, waar zij Bruch, Rachmaninov en Beethoven hebben gespeeld.

Het duo draagt de naam Albarus, omdat Martin Albanees is en Elena uit Rusland komt. Zij hebben in de afgelopen 10 jaar samen een groot repertoire opgebouwd met vrijwel alle grote cello sonates, maar ook kleinere salon-stukken. Hun voorkeur geniet het Duits- en Russisch repertoire.

Martin Grudaj - cello & Elena Malinova - piano, play together since 1995. They studied together in Groningen and afterwords in the Hague and have always received good remarks for their duo playng from different teachers. They started giving concerts already in the time of their study in and around Groningen at first, and now all around Holland, but also in Germany and France. Martin and Elena made their debut in 2006 in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, playing Bruch, Rachmaninov and Beethoven. The duo is called Albarus, because Martin is of Albanian origin and Elena is from Russia. During the last 10 years they have developed a large repertoire, that includes most of the big cello sonatas, but also smaller pieces like salon music. Their favorite music is the German and Russian repertoire.
